COSMOPROF... CONTINUOUS EVOLUTION
The world's leading beauty industry event
never stops evolving.
Established in 1967 in Bologna as a domestic
trade fair, Cosmoprof has expanded over the
years, first achieving primacy in Europe
and then moving on in short order to conquer
the whole world.
What the acquisition of new markets (Cosmoprof
Asia, Cosmoprof Cosmetica, Cosmoprof North
America and Cosmoprof ExpoBeauty) has meant
for Cosmoprof is the possibility to reach
out and cover strategic areas of development
and business, enabling it to focus the entire
beauty industry at world level on the one
vital centre of Cosmoprof in Bologna.
So while on the one hand this tale has been
very much one of geographical expansion,
on the other, the evolution of Cosmoprof
aims at guaranteeing a very high quality
for the services offered.
Seen in this light, Cosmoprof Bologna 2005
will be growing in terms both of quantity
and of quality. Next year's edition will
inaugurate two new halls that not only increase
the exhibition area available, but also enable
the whole fair to be transformed into a space
tailor-made for the visitor. Cosmoprof 2005
will take centre stage with a complete redistribution
of its surface areas, so that the display
spaces can be shared more effectively and
equitably between the different product categories.
The increase in exhibition area will enable
Cosmoprof to satisfy the needs of some 300
companies that are currently on the waiting
list for space to show at the fair. This
means that new brands, new products and new
firms will be introduced, contributing to
making the demand and supply at Cosmoprof
increasingly exhaustive and thus to creating
new business opportunities.
In each individual Cosmoprof, there will
be no less than four major trade fairs: Cosmoprof
Hairdressing, Cosmoprof Beauty Salon, Cosmoprof
Cosmetics Perfumes and Accessories and Cosmopack.
Each of these four fairs will benefit from
its own direct entrance and visitors will
have a chance to follow a route created especially
for them on the basis of their particular
interests, which means that they will be
able to make the best possible use of the
time available to them. The result will be
a flow of people, with an optimal, targeted
distribution, which will benefit both visitors
and exhibitors.
Cosmoprof constitutes the most complete collection
of all the best companies, the best products,
the best brands and the top distributors
from all over the world ever to be brought
together to any one location.
It is a trade fair whose character is truly
global, a hub of ideas and a crucible for
the development of new commercial relationships.
This "evolutionary" strategy obviously
also involves Cosmoprof communication, as
the fair's advertising campaign get a completely
new look.
The photography done for Cosmoprof 2005 by
the promising photographer Lorenzo Bringheli
highlights the fact that the transformation
is also affecting communication. The image
portrays a beautiful model who has been captured
in the act of shaking out her long hair,
creating an extraordinarily dynamic effect.

emotions and unique contemporary values,
